Trogir

Coastal town Trogir (Traù) is located in Dalmatia, 15 km west from Split. The town is located between the Bay of Trogir on west and Kastel Bay on east. Old historical nucleus is situated on an island of the rectangular shape, 520 m long and 220 wide. The town is connected with the mainland and the island Čiovo with the bridges . Historical city core, with 10 churches and numerous buildings from 13th century is since 1997 inscribed

in the UNESCO world heritage list. The most remarkable cultural monument is a cathedral of St. Lawrence from the 13th century with the portal plastic made by artist Radovan.
